  • Instead of publishing a printed sports news paper for Bundaberg, Queensland. www.justsports.com.au is, after training, almost entirely updated directly by Justsports.com.au on a daily basis with many different local sports clubs news, competition scores and photos.
  • Maggie Robertson Design offers handmade quilts, bags, fabrics and other quilting essentials for sale along with patchwork kits to make your own quilts and bags. The required site design was to be simple, easy to read and navigate. They chose to register two domain names for the one site, making it easier for customers to remember and type the address. www.maggierobertsondesign.com and www.maggier.com. This site incorporates a shopping cart program which is easily updated by Maggie Robertson Design through a web management console.
  • Allan Trebbin of Trewallyn Nursery grows and supplies a huge variety of bare root rose plants through mail order catalogues. Trewallyn Nursery at www.trewallyn.com.au is now able to offer all their roses for sale online with up to date, detailed information and hundreds more photos than is practical and cost effective in their printed catalogues.
  • A new Australian company, OzBallStars, www.ozballstars.com.au required a visually interesting and animated site to market their exciting new franchise opportunity. By means of a new, economical, quick and easy process, OzBallStars equipment print high quality photos or company logos onto sports balls.
  • Central Coast Photo Balls, a distributor of the Ozballstars products, at www.ccphotoballs.com.au wanted a smaller site but still have plenty of images and some animation to show off their products. They also wanted an email order form which customers could fill out and attach their photo for printing rather than a complete shopping cart system.
  • www.lvsc.org.au is an example of a Content Management site which can be updated in a newsletter or "blog" style by the owner of the website via an online administration interface. The Latrobe Valley SCUBA Club produces a monthly newsletter from which the coming event notices and diving related stories and photos submitted by club members are added to their site.
  • Bundaberg & District Hydroponics Society wanted a domain name which made them easy to find from a search engine www.bundaberg-hydroponics.com and a small site of just a few pages including a contact form and a photo gallery to promote their club.

• Using an email address @ your company's domain name gives you a professional look and doesn't change if you change internet service providers.
• There are some regulations governing the registration of Australian domain names such as .com.au but with International domains such as .com you can register anything which is not currently registered.

• The term "Hosting" refers to a "Server" Computer which remains on 24 hours a day and permanently connected to the internet on which your website is stored or "Hosted". From there your Website is "Served" to any one looking for it by typing your "Domain Name" into their Web Browser or linking to your site via a search engine.
• Hosting your Website in an annual cost based on the amount of Hard Drive Space your Website requires and the amount of Internet Data Traffic to and from your Website on the Host (Updates to your site and people viewing your site.)
